Captial Bocking USA
"150% fun", "learned alot", "don't hesitate to come "
June 25-27, 2010 Weekend Friday evening - Sunday afternoon
In 2009, Capital Bocking USA was the largest stilting meetup in the USA. Experts on stilts from across the country will again descended upon Washington DC, leaping, bounding and performing acrobatics in competition.
Don't have stilts? We would love to have new participants and supportive spectators / photographers. If you have been waiting to try a pair of stilts for yourself, note the last event, which will be an extra special opportunity.
Participate! Join us in the challenge! Even though we have been featured in the Washington Post, the good news is that it's free and registration is still open. Suitable for beginners+ who bring their stilts and can walk/balance on their own.
With at least dozen competitors, this is sure to be a spectacle not to be missed!
Suggested Hotel:
Bethesda Hyatt Regency **** (≈$140)
It is usually nice for out of town folks to be at the same hotel. This hotel is very nice and sits directly atop the Bethesda Metro Station. The location is ideal as a meetup point.
Fly the Farthest Distance and Win a Chauffeur The participant(s) who flies the farthest distance will get picked up from the airport by DC Power Stilts! (send flight info to apply.)
